The skillion patio is the newest of patio designs to launch into the market. A raised roofing profile at one side creates a relatively steep pitch, this modern design can be manufactured in varies ways and sizes to suit the needs of the owner. What makes this patio design different to the rest is it’s single angular roof profile, elevated above the roof line at a high pitch.

There are 4 common types:

• Standard skillion roof design: Attached to the side of the house and elevated above the gutter
• Butterfly skillion patio: Faces down towards the centre
• Reverse skillion patio design: elevated to an angle opposite to where it is attached to the house
• Flyover skillion patio design: standard skillion that overlaps the house
